Facebook content can ONLY be featured via Tagboard. This article is to highlight the workflow for featuring Facebook content.
Within Tagboard, users can create a live feed of Facebook content, granting them the ability to curate and showcase content from their approved Facebook Pages. This feature allows users to highlight Facebook posts and comments related to those posts from any authorized Facebook Pages on Tagboard.
Team Owners have the ability to view which Facebook Pages are linked to their team account. They can also connect more Pages from the "Account Connections" module located on the left sidebar of their account.
For the Team Owner, visit these articles to setup Account/Social Connections:
Create a Facebook Content Feed
- Create a tagboard by selecting "+ New Tagboard" in the "Tagboards" module.
- Select: "Create a Content Feed" > "Facebook" > "Business Page"
- Name the feed and enter the exact name of your authorized Facebook Page.
Once you create your Facebook Content Feed, it will automatically begin fetching Facebook content that matches your search criteria from that moment onwards. Please note that content feeds do not gather past content retroactively, so we suggest setting up content feeds for all your Facebook Pages to continuously run and showcase content.
Feature Facebook Content
Once you've setup your Facebook content feed, there are 3 ways to feature Facebook content:
Feature Facebook Posts
Your Facebook posts can only be featured within Tagboard... not from Facebook directly. Within your Facebook content feed, you can feature Facebook posts by clicking the 'Feature Post' checkmark in the upper left corner of each individual post. This will move the post to the 'Featured' tab.
Feature Facebook Comments in Tagboard
Facebook comments can only be featured within Tagboard. To feature individual comments on Facebook posts,
- Click on the post within your content feed to open the post modal.
- On the right side, you will see a real-time feed of comments. Each individual comment will have its own "feature" button in the upper right corner.
- Select the "feature" button and these Facebook comments will appear in your Featured tab
- This will work on Facebook posts as well as Facebook Live. You can control when comments come into view while you're live by clicking on 'Load More Comments'.
Track Post Comments in Tagboard
You also have the ability to create a real-time feed of comments from a specific Facebook post or Facebook Live. To get started,
- Click on the post within your content feed that you want to track comments on. This will open the post modal.
- Select 'Track comments' in the upper left corner.
- A new popup will appear for you to edit your search criteria [and to possibly auto-feature comments].
- After clicking 'Save feed', this will now be an option to select within your feeds dropdown.
Creating a feed will give you the flexibility to auto-feature comments, or add additional filter layers such as a required hashtag or blocked keywords.
