Gather & Display Direct UGC

You can gather and display user-generated content directly from your audience using a Tagboard landing page and social or graphic display. This article walks you through it.

Create a Landing Page & Set Up a Feed to Collect UGC

Start by creating a landing page! If you haven't create a Page before, you can follow the steps here.  In the page editor, open the Elements tab on the left and select Share It to add it to your page. When you select Share It, a pop up window will appear asking you to select an existing social board or create a new one so you can collect all of the content uploaded by your viewers. The board you choose is where all your content will live.

AddShareItElementOnce you select your board, by default, all of the following options will be toggled on in your Share It element

- Photos

- Attribution

- Comments

If there is any user content you do not want to collect, just toggle it off.

You can also make any or all of the options required depending on your needs.   From there, you will want to customize your Share It element by going down the list on the right hand side and choosing from the integration options.

Customize your pageOnce you have saved your draft and published your page, don’t forget to grab the page URL using the link icon.

You will need to create a Social display to show your UGC on your broadcast or in venue screen. We recommend using a multi-post display (either a grid or a waterfall) to showcase your posts as that will allow for dynamic interactive displays. More on social displays here.

Creating New Social Display-1

Once you’ve selected your multi-post display, you can select the number of columns and rows which will change the number of posts displayed.  You can go down the menu on the left hand side and customize the display by adding your own background, fonts, and call to action to encourage your audience to scan the QR code.  Speaking of QR code, you will want to make sure that you enable the QR code under the Styles tab and add your landing page URL to the QR code.

Note: Share It can be used in any social display, including isolated posts, carousels and lower thirds.  They can also be used in social graphics if you want to show one post at a time or integrate social UGC via text submissions in the lower third. More on how to create a social graphic here.

Producer: Go Live with Your UGC

Once you've featured your UGC content to your board and created your social display, you can head over to Producer to go live with this content!

Simply, drag and drop your social display onto your Producer Playlist and then go over to the Curated Content section of the Asset Library to find your social board. Drag and drop the entire social board underneath your social display.  If you are using an isolated display, you can also click on the social board and drag and drop each post individually.
