Publish Your Poll and Go Live

Launch a hosted landing page or copy the embed code to place your poll anywhere

Open your Poll and select the Publish tab at the top. This is the third step of setting up your poll. If you're not ready to publish your poll, check out our step-by-step walkthroughs to Setup your Poll or Design your Poll.

There are a few ways to Publish your poll:

  1. Add your Poll to an existing Tagboard Page
  2. Create a new Tagboard Page to publish your Poll
  3. Create an embed code to place your Poll directly on your own website or mobile app

Once you publish your poll, we'll walk you through Going Live in Tagboard Producer! 🎬

Add your Poll to an existing Tagboard Page

You'll see a list of your current Pages on the left side of you screen. Select the Page where you want to place your Poll. You'll see a Preview of your Page. Now it's time to add your Poll.

Click Customize Page in the upper right corner, to open up your Page Builder. On the left side of your screen, select 'Add Element'. Choose Poll, and select your poll & display from the dropdown. This is the interactive poll that your viewers & fans will vote on, so you can only choose to display Interactive (web) displays (not On-Screen displays).

While you're here, you can make any other changes to your landing page. When you're finish, click Publish Changes in the upper right corner!

When you're finished customizing your Page, close the Page Builder. You'll have easy access to grab the Page URL where your poll will live, right at the top of your screen.

⚠️ Important: If you have a QR code on your On-Screen Display, don't forget to grab this URL and go update the destination of your QR code on the Display tab!

Create a new Tagboard Page to Publish your Poll

Click "+Add Page" in the left rail of your screen. You can choose to start from scratch, or duplicate an existing Page. Give your Page a name (note: this will be the title that shows on the browser tab when it's opened by a fan or viewer, so choose carefully!). Then select a Poll Display from the dropdown. This is the interactive poll that your viewers & fans will vote on, so you can only choose to display Interactive (web) displays (not On-Screen displays). Click Create!

The Page Builder will automatically load your new Page with your Poll. You can make any other tweaks to your Page while you're here, like adding a background, logo, or other design changes.

When you're finished customizing your Page, click 'Save Draft' in the upper right corner. When you're ready to go live, click the arrow and select 'Publish'. This will send your page live. You'll need to Publish your page in order for people to be able to see your poll & vote.

When you're finished publishing your Page, close the Page Builder. You'll have easy access to grab the Page URL where your poll will live, right at the top of your screen.

⚠️ Important: If you have a QR code on your On-Screen Display, don't forget to grab this URL and go update the destination of your QR code on the Display tab!

Create an embed code

If you want to place your poll directly onto your website or mobile app, click "Embed Code". Our embeds are responsive by default; you choose whether it's a 9:16, 16:9, 4:3, or 1:1 aspect ratio. You also have the option to choose a fixed aspect ratio, and manually set a width and height.

Our default embeds include a script tag that enables full analytics tracking, including user sessions, device type, and drop-off insights. Some platforms block inline scripts. If this is the case for you, you can use our embed codes without tracking by selecting "Basic Embed". This embed is safe for use in environments that block inline scripts. The poll will still collect vote data, but it does not include analytics tracking and audience journey insights will be limited.
