Manage Account & Team
Converting from Social Login to Email Login
Why am I not receiving an email to reset my password?
There could be a few reasons why this may be happening.
-
- You have not yet converted from social login to email login. If you've not converted then a password reset cannot be sent via Tagboard. You would need to go to Facebook or X, formerly Twitter, to reset your password.
- Check your spam folder as the password reset email may have gone there.
- There may be a different email connected to the account.
What if I am seeing "Social Login Now Discontinued"
You would be seeing this because you've already converted your account from social login to email. If you do not recall the email used, then email Support@tagboard.com and let the Support team know your social handle as well as an email address(es) you may have used for an expedited resolution.
What will happen to my existing social connections?
Your existing connections will still exist. They will still be connected to your Tagboard account so you can feature social content. You are simply converting your Tagboard account login method from social login to email login.
What if I don't complete this in time?
The email associated with your primary social network login for Tagboard will become the email address you use to access your Tagboard account. Refer to the 'My Profile' tab to see the current email address associated with the social account you used to sign up for Tagboard.
Will other team members need to do this?
If other team members on the account were already signing in via email, then no. They will continue to use their email to log into the account. However, if team members on your account have been logging in via social, then each of them will need to convert their account also.
If everyone was using one login, then the team owner should send each team member an email invite to create an account and join Tagboard. This can be done by visiting the 'Teams' module on the left side panel. A team owner would be able to see an 'Email invites' section under 'Teams' [on the left sidebar]. After inputting an email address, select 'Invite' and that team member will have 24 hours to accept the invite to join your Tagboard team.
Why can't I see the email address I used for logging in within 'My Profile'?
This process may take up to a couple minutes for it to take effect on your 'My Profile' page. Refreshing the webpage should help, if you're not seeing the change right away. You may need to log out and back in if waiting a couple minutes and refreshing the webpage did not change anything.
Social Content Curation
Featuring Content via Content Feed
Why are older posts not showing in my content feed(s)?
Due to social media guidelines, Tagboard cannot archive social posts. Social posts will live in your ‘Feeds’ tab of Tagboard for ~(2) months. You can prevent content from dropping off your tagboard by featuring content. Social posts that you feature will live in your ‘Featured’ tab indefinitely.
If you want to go back and feature those older posts that have been removed, you can use Tagboard's Chrome Extension and feature those directly from the social network to keep them in your featured tab.
Why does it look like I'm missing social posts in my dashboard?
Tagboard utilizes source network public APIs to aggregate public social posts. To ensure your tagboard is receiving all of the posts your community is posting, it is important to understand a few things:
-
-
- Tagboard only aggregates public posts. Any private posts will not aggregate to Tagboard.
-
Tagboard does not aggregate native retweets or cross posts (e.g. tweets with Instagram photos)
-
Source network API outages sometimes occur
-
Sometimes posts aren't indexed by the source networks in their search APIs. This can be related to a number of variables, including spam protection or how new an account is.
-
Why am I getting an error when I try to feature Facebook content?
For security reasons, Facebook will expire the connection to third party apps, such as Tagboard, at random intervals. The good news is, it's a simple fix! Have your Tagboard team owner log into their Tagboard account, then click 'Account Connections' on the left sidebar. This individual will see a list of Facebook Pages that they are an admin on. They can check the Status column to confirm which pages are and aren't connected. Find the Page you want to re-connect to Tagboard to feature content from. To refresh your token, click 'Disconnect' then 'Connect' once more. A green Status light indicates you're now you're good to go!
Why do Instagram posts say "POST UNAVAILABLE"?
Instagram provides Tagboard with a unique URL for each featured post to redisplay content. Instagram expires those URLs at random intervals, for privacy purposes. But it's an easy fix. Refreshing the tagboard, or in some cases re-featuring the post, provides a new URL that displays the image again. We recommend regularly opening your tagboards to keep these images online!
Why can't I create an Instagram hashtag content feed?
-
-
Check your 'Account Connections' page. If you see 'enable sign in with Facebook', then you will need your Tagboard team owner to set up Instagram and Facebook connections for all team members to utilize.
-
Instagram's API sets limitations on the total number of hashtags any user can monitor in a rolling 7-day window. Currently, that limit is 25. This limit is cumulative to any tool that uses Instagram's API, not just Tagboard.
-
You can only create a #hashtag feed for Instagram if someone has used that #hashtag before. If it is a brand new #hashtag for an event that hasn't happened yet, try posting with the hashtag first from a public Instagram account.

How do your embeds work? How should it be implemented?
Tagboard Embeds rely on the placement of a block of HTML, and a Script tag into the HTML of a given website that will automatically generate an HTML iframe that displays Tagboard content.
An example of the block of HTML and Script:
<div class="tagboard-embed" tgb-embed-id="12345"></div>
<script src="https://static.tagboard.com/embed/assets/js/embed.js"></script>
There are two parts to the above embed code: (1) the Embed HTML Block and (2) the Embed Script. When a given website loads and the Embed Script is executed, the Embed Script automatically looks for the Embed HTML Block as an anchor point to generate an iFrame to display Tagboard content. For Tagboard Embeds to work properly, both the Embed HTML Block, and the Embed Script must be present.
What is the expected behavior of the script?
When the Embed Script loads (typically immediately after a website loads), it begins to look within the HTML of the given page of the website for the Embed HTML Block. Once the script finds the Embed HTML Block, it uses the tgb-embed-id property of the Embed HTML Block to determine what Tagboard Content should appear within the generated iFrame.
If the script cannot find the Embed HTML Block, the script will fail to create an iFrame.
Why is my embed getting cut off?
HTML iframes do not resize to fit their content automatically. This is not a limitation of Tagboard embeds, but rather how browsers as a whole handle HTML iframes. When a website renders an HTML iframe, it applies a default size of 300px wide, by 150px tall. If the Tagboard content within the generated iframe is getting cut off, you will need to apply styling to the HTML Embed Block directly to size it appropriately.
How do I change the size of my embed?
To change the size of the generated iframe, you will need to apply CSS styling to the provided Embed HTML Block, or the generated iframe within. This can be done by targeting the .tagboard-embed CSS class, or the other classes that appear as child nodes of the Embed HTML Block, after the Embed Script has generated an iframe within it.
I put your embed code into an iframe, why isn't it working?
-
-
Javascript and or scripting is disabled from running on the given website
-
The given website is not using HTTPS
-
I put your embed code in my website and now my load times are slow, what can I do?
If you notice your load times have slowed down with the inclusion of a Tagboard Embed. Try placing the Embed Script between the <body /> tags of the HTML of the given website. Placing scripts at the bottom of the <body /> element can improve page load, because script compilation can slow down the display of a given website.
Graphics
Advanced Elements - Social
Can the social content be dynamically displayed?
No. Displays built in Tagboard Graphics are not dynamic. Therefore, the social content that is curated and featured into your Boards must match the content type selected and built in Tagboard Graphics.
For example, if you feature a social post with text only and display it in a graphic built with the content type "Text and Media", there will be an empty space where the image and/or video should be.
Can I make the social network icon a different color than the options available?
No. This is due to the brand requirements of the social network.
Why can’t I delete or hide the social network icon or the handle?
This is a requirement of the social networks. Attribution to both the social network and the original content creator is required,
Can I add more than one social element into my graphic?
Not at this time. Once you select "Social" from the "Advanced Elements" menu, you will not be allowed to add it again to your graphic. The option will be disabled. There are complexities to the behaviors when displaying multiple social posts in one graphic, especially when it comes to the interactions between the posts.
Can I display multiple graphics with social in a graphic group in Producer?
Not at this time. You will only be able to show one of the social graphics at a time, even within the same graphic group. If there are other graphics in the graphic group, those will show alongside the social graphics.
Can I change the color of the hyperlinks in the social post?
Yes. After selecting the "Social: Full Screen" layer [located on the left sidebar] there is a section that appears on the right sidebar labeled "Hashtag, Mentions, & Link Styling". Within this section, you can show/hide URLs, change the colors of hashtags, mentions, and more.
Note:
All link colors are defaulted to sync, but unchecking the box allows you to change the color of each individual option.
Can I update the cycle time for social posts?
Yes! You can set the default time for the graphic in the graphic editor. This can be done under “Production Settings”, which is accessible on the right sidebar after selecting the “Social: Full Screen” layer [from the left sidebar] within your graphic. You can also update the cycle time directly in Producer.
Currently, the default time is 15 seconds.
Advanced Elements - Sportradar
Do I need Sportradar API Keys? How do I get them if I don’t have any?
You do not need Sportradar API Keys to utilize Sportradar data in Graphics. The access to data can be purchased through Tagboard. Contact your CSM for more information. Once purchased, we will turn on access to the appropriate leagues/sports in your account.
For access to use Sportradar images [headshots and team logos], you will need Sportradar API Keys! Contact Sportradar to discuss your options.
What leagues/sports does Tagboard support?
Tagboard currently supports data, headshots, and team logos with the following:
- NBA
- NFL
- NHL
- NCAAF (College Football) - coming soon!
How do I connect my Sportradar account to use the team logos and/or player headshots?
The process for connecting Sportradar API Keys for the use of team logos and/or player headshots is here. This needs to be completed by the Tagboard Team Owner.
What data is available?
Statistics from the preseason, regular season, in-season tournament, and postseason games are available. See the data map within the data [/statistics] selector for more specific stats available [they vary by league/sport and the list is too exhaustive to include].
How often is the data updated?
To see how often Sportradar data is updated, please refer to their documentation. Once the data is updated from Sportradar, Tagboard updates the data in near real-time.
Do you have the free agents data available?
Currently, Tagboard does not support free agents.
Why don’t I see the team logo or headshot for the player?
You need Sportradar API Keys for player headshots and team logos.
- If you have keys, follow the process of adding access to them in your Tagboard account here.
- Contact Sportradar for additional information if you do not have keys.
What timezone is the data in? How do you calculate efficiency? What do some of these acronyms mean?
For additional information, please check out Sportradar’s documentation here.
Advanced Elements - Ticker
Can I drag and drop text and image layers into the Advanced Ticker?
Not at this time. To add text and images to the advanced ticker, you will need to add them by clicking the “+” icon in the Advanced Ticker layer [located in the layer menu on the left sidebar].
Can I connect data sources to my Advanced Ticker?
Yes! Currently, we only support data from Google Sheets [see steps for using Sheets above]. Support for additional data sources will be added in the future.
Interested in adding Google Sheets to your Tagboard package? Inquire here.
Can I have a ‘never ending’ ticker?
There are two ticker options:
- Spaced
- The entire group of text and images will scroll off screen before restarting again. Thus creating space between the start and end.
- Infinite
- The text and images continuously scroll, like it is ‘never ending’.
How do I add additional spaces or dividers between my ticker text and images?
You can add text or images in an Advanced Ticker as spaces and/or dividers. These text and images act as dividers, breaking up the content into a digestible format.
- Example:
- Adding another text element at the beginning, end, or in between the content [i.e. with a static “ | ”] divides the content into unique sets.
Upload Adobe Photoshop Files
Can I upload all Adobe files to Tagboard?
At this time, only Photoshop (PSD) file, with a max file size of 500MB, can be uploaded and converted to a Tagboard graphic.
Will all of my layers be converted into the Tagboard graphic?
All visible layers will be converted as layers in the Tagboard graphic. Hidden layers will not be pulled in.
Will groups and layers in my PSD file be reflected in Tagboard?
Yes! The groups, layers, and naming used in your PSD file will be recreated in your Tagboard graphic. Tagboard will extract all groups and visible layers into images and text boxes in a Tagboard graphic.
Will all of my nested groups be created in the Tagboard graphic?
When you upload a PSD file, Tagboard will extract up to two nested groups. Any nested groups in the PSD file beyond that will be flattened to the second group.
Will my layers be copied in the same position, using the same opacity?
Yes. Your Tagboard graphic will match the layer's position and opacity.
How does canvas size work when converting PSD files to Tagboard?
The canvas size of the Tagboard graphic will match the canvas size from the PSD file. For example, if your PSD uses a 1920x1080 canvas, your Tagboard graphic will also be 1920x1080.
** The recommended canvas size is 1920x1080. A different canvas size may produce results in Tagboard Producer that you may not expect.
Will text in my PSD file be converted to text in my Tagboard graphic?
Text that is not highly stylized will be converted to a text layer in the Tagboard graphic. It will be converted as a plain text layer using Tagboard's system font. You can customize the font and text styling using Tagboard's graphics builder.
If the text in the PSD file uses advanced styling options allowed in Photoshop that are not supported today in Tagboard (such as embossing), the text will automatically be converted to an image layer.
How many PSD files can I upload and convert at the same time?
At this time, only one PSD file [max size of 500MB] can be uploaded and converted at a time.
